So anyway, I'd been playing off and on with SF4 since I'd got it (mostly because recently I had been trying to get some bioshock trophies and get my first platinum, but to no avail... anyway). Now, the survival challenges put in a novel way of thinking how to play the game, and with most up to this point, I'd been able to get around them by either grinding through it or changing strategies or the usual characters I go with. However, Normal #20 has me ready to snap my DualShock3 in my own hands with how much it is frustrating me. Even just in the early rounds, it always picks Zangief for round 4, which ends up killing me with 90% of the roster... after that, it's almost assuredly Blanka in #6, or even sometimes as bad as Gen for round #3. And I'm supposed to somehow last 15 rounds! This is really frustrating me, especially when I'm literally one away from getting another unlock and trophy while I'm at it. And I know I don't have $400 to spend on one of the arcade sticks either, so that's definitely out of the question.

What, did nobody else have trouble with this level? Or did nobody else here make it that far yet?

Im not that far into the survival levels, i think i just beat 16, but i might have some news you may like. You can get the hori fight stick 3 for about 60 bucks from amazon. The only think you may or may not like, is that its curved close button config, and has a square restrictor plate. I cant help you with the survival right now, but maybe you should check into that stick....it could help you out

I still consistantly die to Seth (I might beat him 1 out of 10 tries on difficulties higher than easy)...so that puts me around 10ish on the challenges since he's the last guy you fight.

well i just beat all 25 fights on that stage, and i have to say it wasnt too hard. it took me two tries, and the hardest was zangief. once you can beat him with a decent amount of health, you should be able to cruise through till you play seth for the 25th match. You kindve have to play defensively and choose your attacks and stick them at the right time. what character do you usually use?

25? the quota is 15. I usually use Akuma first, but besides him, I end up using Cammy, Sakura, Ken, and Sagat in varying order.

Contrary to popular belief, a stick does not improve one skills. Your skills is your skills regardless of what controller you use. You just have to use a character your really good with, because for a marathon like that you have to be able to exploit all of your characters strengths.

Oh my god, what a rip! So I try again wtih Cammy because I just wasn't having any luck this time around with either Akuma nor Sakura, and to my surprise, I end up doing particularly well, handily beating Zangief, and catching Blanka in a near-endless Focus breaking loop of hard Cannon Spikes... the rest became easier after that, until I made it to 14 wins, and the next was Akuma. I hit on the offensive right away, knowing I had to put him away as quickly as possible. But he kept blocking. Then he whipped out his insta-death ultra... and to my surprise, I LIVED! I counter with my own ultra and that brings him down to about 3% health. But sod's law ensures that I then can't pull off the cannon spike facing left AGAIN just as akuma busts out his focus hit and kills me! FFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!

You know, i think your right. When i got my stick, i was also starting over again with fighting games. I found the right character, and have practiced with him for many hours. I probably just got used to the stick and the uses. I could have easily done that with a controller

Use Zangief.

I've beat all challenges (except the Trials) with Zangief only spamming his L1 Move, that's all you need. I did Survival #20 half afk browsing in the forums with the controller in the other hand and just spamming this move. It's piss easy.

I did try that... but now I end up losing to Cammy (#10) every freaking time! **EDIT** just tried it again, and now I'm up to #25! :D
